Refund Policy

In short

Full refund any time before your STL file is delivered. Once it is delivered the sale is final, except for defects: tell us within 14 days and we will fix, reprint or refund it.

Before your STL file is delivered

You can cancel any time before the STL file is emailed to you and we will refund you in full. Reply to your order confirmation, or email support@idea-engine.studio with your order number. The STL file is usually delivered within 2 hours of payment, so please write quickly.

After delivery: final sale, except for defects

Your model is made to order from your photos and delivered digitally, so once the STL file has been delivered the sale is final.

The exception is a defective file: it won't open, isn't a closed printable solid, or clearly doesn't match the house in your photos. Tell us within 14 days of delivery, with your order number, and we will fix or rebuild it; if we can't, we will refund you. Simplified details, or features your photos don't show, are part of how the model is made and are not defects.

Printed models

• Printed models are made to order, so we don't accept returns for a change of mind.
• If your print arrives damaged or defective (for example broken pieces, or parts that don't fit together), email a photo within 14 days of delivery and we will reprint it or refund the print.
• If we can't ship your print within 1 month of your order, we will email you with a new date, and you may cancel the print for a refund of what you paid for it (your tier's price minus the STL-only price).
• If the carrier loses your package, tell us and we will reprint or refund the print.

If we can't build your model

If our pipeline can't produce a usable model from your photos, we will email you and either finish it another way, ask for better photos, or refund you in full.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days. When an order is refunded in full, its download link stops working.
